Compression Fittings for Every PE Pipe Application

DM Plastics & Steel compression fittings provide fast, reliable joints for service connections, repairs and temporary lines across rural, metric and municipal systems.

Compression Fittings FAQs

What size compression fittings are available?
DMP&S can supply compression fittings from DN16 to DN110. Size availability is subject to the style of fitting. Please speak with our team about your requirements.
Our compression fittings are rated to PN16 (1600kPa) at 20°C.
Yes, our fittings comply with AS/NZS:4129 standard for polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings. Our fittings are also WaterMark certified & approved.
No – Compression fittings join PE pipes securely without the need for glue, soldering or specialised tools. They use a threaded nut and a ferrule placed over the pipe. As you tighten the nut, it compresses the ferrule against the pipe, creating a watertight, friction-based seal.
A common rule of thumb is to tighten the nut by hand until it is snug on the pipe and then use an adjustable wrench or spanner to give it another quarter to half turn. Be careful to not overtighten the fitting as this can crush the ferrule, deform or crack the pipe and damage the fittings threads.
