Our Range

Rural Poly Pipe Built for Australian Conditions

DM Plastics and Steel’s rural pipe range is engineered for Australia’s tough conditions – heat, UV, long distances, hard ground and remote access. Manufactured in South Australia using certified HDPE material, these pipes deliver dependable performance with lower maintenance across farms, stations and pastoral operations. Rated to PN8.5 (850kPa), backed by ISO 9001 quality control and in-house testing, our rural products give producers confidence year after year.

Rural water systems work best when the pipe is durable, easy to handle and quick to install. Our HDPE rural range is purpose-built for stock watering, farm reticulation and long farm runs, with coil options that cut down on joins and speed installation. For hotter regions and above-ground routes, Rural Kool adds heat management without changing how you specify or install rural pipe.

Rural Pipe Solutions Across Australian Industries

Rural & Agricultural

On-farm water is mission-critical. DMP&S GREEN AG 850 and Rural Kool lines deliver reliable stock water reticulation from tank to trough, along fence lines and across paddocks. Long coils reduce joints, installation is quick, and the fittings range makes repairs or extensions straightforward. For everyday farm use—trough feeds, pump suction/discharge, transfer lines—this is the practical, low-maintenance choice. Comprehensive rural fittings keep everything compatible and serviceable over time.

Irrigation

From small holdings to broadacre, reliable water movement under variable pressures matters. DMP&S Rural pipe provides a durable backbone for distribution lines, laterals and feeder mains, with easy tie-in to valves, filters and outlets via compression and threaded fittings. Rural Kool assists where lines run hot and exposed, helping protect water quality and reduce thermal expansion stress at the surface.

Rural Poly Pipe FAQs

What’s the difference between GREEN AG 850 and Rural Kool?

Both are Rural Class “B” HDPE pipes. Green Ag 850 is black with a green stripe. Rural Kool
adds a white co-ex outer skin to help reflect heat on exposed runs in hot climates.

Premium Rural “B” is PN8.5, equivalent to 850 kPa at 20 °C.
Yes. We carry a comprehensive range of rural joiners, elbows, tees, reducers and threaded adaptors, plus transitions for metric interfaces where required
Rural pipe is commonly ID-sized for compatibility with rural fittings. ¾” to 2” (20mm – 50mm) is measured by OD. 2 ½” (63mm – 90mm) upwards is measured by ID
Choose Rural Kool for exposed, above-ground, sun-exposed runs where water temperature and thermal movement are concerns. The white co-ex outer skin reflects heat, so the pipe and the water stay cooler

Not necessarily. Project “Jumbo” coils are designed to maximise coil length per trailer and reduce fittings and installation time on large projects. Your DM Plastics rep can advise on coil strategy and handling equipment that best suits your requirements.

The coil length depends on the pipe diameter. ¾” & 1” (20mm – 25mm) are normally stocked in 200mt coils. 1 ¼” to 2” (32mm – 50mm) are normally stocked in 150mt – 300mt coils. 2 ½” upwards (63mm – 90mm) are stocked in either 100mt or 200mt coils. Custom coil lengths can be manufactured to order and may be subject to MOQ’s. Refer to our product catalogue for a guide on product codes & coil lengths available.
Yes. We stock male/female threaded adaptors, tees and elbows for rural sizes, plus metric-compatible options where needed.
